Amidst all the news written and seen all over the media, Nuclear power has been a controversial issue since it was introduced. Many studies show that Nuclear Technology do have more benefits than what others think, as dangerous to one's country. I strongly believe that Nuclear power has more advantages than disadvantages because of various reasons.
Nuclear power is economical in the sense that it is cheap, as well as it provides clean energy. It can give us electricity without sacrificing the environment. As an evidence, there is a study which I have seen from the Internet showing the comparison of different sources of energy between carbon fuel and nuclear power. The study reveals that using carbon fuel is ten times harmful in depleting the ozone layer as compared to what nuclear power does, which is the least among the different sources of energy.
Furthermore, when carbon fuel will be used as the main source of energy in a hundred years, it will mean that the atmosphere will be thin enough and more heat will be trapped in our environment; thus, producing what we all known as climate change. Consequently, this Climate change will produce different effects such as production of acid rain in urban and rural areas. Also, the weather will be intense therefore, extreme temperatures will be experienced during hot and cold seasons.
Lastly, the use of Nuclear power has been widespread especially in terms of medical technology. The advancement in medicine together with nuclear power helps not only in the diagnosis of diseases but also in the treatment process. It is used in different procedures like X-rays and CT scans as well as radiations for different types of cancer.
To sum up, although many countries would fear the possibilities of nuclear weapons attack, it still does not change the fact that many people have cured by nuclear technology and many lives can and will be saved.
